Private Lesson - Intro to Long Range

Course Description

This private 1-day, 8 hour course contains all the same curriculum and experience as the Basics of Marksmanship training, save that you get the Doak Development team all to yourself. This means more time on the gun with direct feedback and more time shooting out to farther distances than can be typically reached in group classes. Whether your use-case is extending your effective hunting range, getting into competitive shooting like PRS, or plinking further and further at your local range, with you as the sole focus of our instructor(s), we will also buy you time to cover specific positional shooting instruction custom to your desired focus for shooting long range and precision rifle. This 1:1 day on the range can be booked for yourself or a maximum of you and a plus one. Minimum Equipment List (What you'll need): - Bolt Action or AR platform Rifle intended for mid-long range use. Minimum caliber: .223/5.56 - Scope Must have a minimum of 8x magnification (16x or more preferred), adjustable turrets and a MIL or MOA reticle - 250 Rounds of match grade ammunition - At least 2 magazines (if not a fixed magazine rifle) - Bipod - Must be tilt-capable - Rear Support Bag - Tools necessary to mount and adjust your scope to your rifle (Torque Wrench or Multi-tool. Scope leveling tools provided) - Laser Range Finder capable of ranging out to 1,000 yards minimum - Eye and Ear Protection Recommended Packing List (not required): - Ball-cap - Plenty of Food and Water - Hiking backpack (filled) if desired to practice positional shooting - Boots and Clothing fit for inclement or changing weather in the PNW coastal range - Dry bag with change of clothes and socks for end of the day if inclement weather occurs Booking Instruction: To book a private session, select your earliest desired training date and the Doak Development Team will process your booking request and Reach out to work with you to finalize a date and time for your personal training session.
